My Baby’s Turning ONE! Here Are The Big Gift Items I’m Grabbing on Prime Day Sales
My baby is turning ONE soon, and I honestly can’t believe how fast this year flew by. I’ve been on the hunt for some bigger gifts — the kind of things that aren’t just fun right now, but also practical, long-lasting, and honestly… things I wish I had from the start.
I know some of these items are an investment (believe me, I’ve had these sitting in my cart for months). But what I love about these types of gifts is that they’ll last for YEARS — through toddlerhood, and even through future babies, if you’re planning on more kiddos like we are.
And honestly? There’s no better time to snag them than right now during the Amazon Prime Day sales. Here’s what I’ve been eyeing (and what’s finally on sale!) — I’m treating myself to some savings and my baby to some amazing gifts.
I am an Amazon Affiliate and receive commission on these items at no cost to you!
A Play Couch (AKA a Nugget Dupe!)
This one has been on my wishlist forever. I’ve seen so many parents rave about the Osykiu Modular Kids Play Couch — it’s a dupe for the Nugget, but at a much better price point, especially during Prime deals.
It’s basically a modular couch that doubles as a climbing toy, a fort, a reading nook, and more. I love that it’s machine washable, super versatile, and can grow with my baby for years to come. Prime Day usually knocks it down under $75, which is such a steal for how much use you’ll get from it.
Montessori Kitchen Tower (That Folds!)
One thing we’ve been working on lately is encouraging independence, especially around the kitchen (and let’s be real, I am a teacher at heart and want my baby to be involved in everything we’re doing).
I’ve been eyeing these foldable kitchen helper towers for months. They’re designed to help toddlers safely reach the kitchen counter to help cook, snack, or just feel included.
Here are a couple I’ve been debating:
Avenlur Date 4-in-1 Foldable Tower — I love that this one is cute and can be used for more than just the kitchen!
WOOD CITY Kitchen Step Stool Helper — This one’s super sturdy and has great reviews for toddlers around 12 months+.
Guidecraft Kitchen Helper — A little more of a splurge, but it’s gorgeous and super durable for long-term use.
All of these go on sale during Prime Day (and sometimes stack with extra coupons!).
Toniebox: Screen-Free Fun for Little Ones
I’ve been really drawn to Montessori-inspired toys. I worked as a Montessori teacher for a few years and believe in its values, especially for young children. The Toniebox keeps popping up everywhere! It’s an adorable, screen-free audio player that lets kids control their own story time or music by popping on different character figures (called Tonies).
What I love:
It’s durable, made for little hands, and doesn’t require staring at a screen.
It’s great for quiet time or independent play.
The characters can be National Geographic, which I LOVE!
It often comes with bundle deals during Prime Day!
I love that this is something my baby can grow into, and we can add new Tonies over time for birthdays or holidays.
Montessori Shelves + More Open-Ended Play Options
I’m also adding a few more Montessori-friendly pieces to our space:
A Montessori Book Shelf — designed to help babies and toddlers choose their own books, which I think is such a sweet way to encourage independence and a love for reading. Also, it is scalloped and so cute!
A Mini Chef Tower — Similar to the kitchen towers above, but specifically designed for smaller spaces.
Why I’m Buying These During Prime Day
Honestly? These are all items that feel like splurges at full price, but I know we’ll get so much use from them. I’d much rather buy once during a big sale than keep wishing I had these later on (and regret paying full price). And let's be honest, teachers have to look for sales.
Here’s what I did to prep for Prime Day:
Added everything to my Amazon wish list so I get notified when the price drops.
Checked for extra Prime-exclusive coupons (sometimes they’re hidden!).
Compared bundles, especially for the Toniebox and kitchen towers.
If you’ve also been debating bigger gifts for your baby or toddler, this is such a good time to grab them! They’re fun, functional, and will last beyond just one birthday.
Let me know if you end up grabbing any of these, or if you’ve found other Prime Day steals for little ones!
